What you’ll do

 

• Work directly with the CEO, CTO, and other product stakeholders to plan out features.

• Produce technical plans to communicate and garner feedback on your technical decisions.

• Lead the development of features including writing most of the code (React / Rails) working with low fi mockups and taking advantage of our component library.

• Design and implement new data models as well as rethink the existing models as we grow.

• Test your own code and help fill missing gaps in testing and general quality.

• Take ownership in your work ensuring a smooth release and communication to stakeholders.

• Work on a fast-paced agile team. You’ll have code in production by the end of your first week.

 

Who you are

 

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working as a full stack software developer, ideally some experience in a high growth startup environment.

• Take pride in upholding best engineering practices - you build with maintainability, reliability, and observability in mind.

• Diversity in experience - you have worked with multiple languages/frameworks/databases.

• Ideally 4+ hours overlap in ET time zone and willingness to extend that in the beginning for smoother onboarding.

• Excellent written communication as we work remotely.

• Significant experience with a front end JS framework (e.g. React, Vue)

• A strong command of relational databases

 

Nice-to-haves

• Significant experience with React

• Experience with Ruby on Rails in large projects

• A strong eye for design / UX
